Road Rash Rubber

Did your wardrobe recently crash and burn? Perhaps you could use some of Road Rash Rubber‘s upcycled rubber accessories – they take scraps of rubber and turn them into shoulder wear, neck wear, lapel wear, pocket wear, wrist wear, finger wear, etc. We like the idea of taking some old tires for a new sweet ride… on you! This takes “biker chic” to a whole new level.

ENVIABLE PERK: Road Rash Rubber accessories are made from reclaimed rubber.

Life’s tough, get a helmet… and also some rubber accessories?

GIVEAWAY ALERT: Road Rash Rubber is giving away a wallet made from upcycled rubber. To enter, comment on this post and tell us about a time when you have tripped or fallen. Ash and Kimmy remember an epic time of standing between two boats, one foot in each (not recommended), having the boats spread apart, a brief attempt at the splits, and a soggy ending. Or there was that time when we were skiing in the Swiss Alps, and were so caught up in belting out a rendition of Les Miserables “Master of the House” that we went flying off the T-bar and into a disgruntled German family on the slopes.

23 BITES TO Road Rash Rubber

hee hee- many times! I’m clumsy. Worst time was when I was 13 and fell on cement stairs. Skinned both my knees bad and had scars for weeks.

  • What an innovative way to use scrap rubber…turn it into outstandingly awesome accessories! The worse fall I’ve had (and there have been numerous ones) was at freshman orientation in college when I tripped on an uneven floor and fell flat on my face, splitting open my lip, a trip to the emergency room and stitches followed.

I’ve fallen down the stairs a lot of times…*ouch*…and two times i fell when i was on the swing…it broke and i kinda flew…amazing :p

  • Carmilla

I tripped in front of the whole shool and it was the most embarissing thing ever!

  • I tripped running to beat my best friend for the front seat of the car and broke my foot…pretty dumb reason to break your foot!

  • I learned the hard way that the Skechers Shape-Ups are not for off-roading! I was walking around our building at work and decided to cross the street for more variety, but I had to walk across a landscaped island first. As soon as I stepped on the island, my ankle twisted and I went sprawling into the road. Luckily there weren’t any cars driving by at the time!

  • I thought it would be a good idea to go running down a steep sand dune… once momentum picked up I fell head over heals all the wayt to the bottom and ended up with sand in my mouth, nose, ears, and eyes…. it was pretty bad but I was young so I bounced back quickly!

  • Your skiing mishap reminds me of one of my own. I’m a fairly good skier. I got my first pair of x-country skis when I was 2 and started doing downhill when I was nine. At 16, I was pretty confident in my abilities. Probably a little too confident. My dad and I took a short vacation to a ski resort one winter and decided to take on their expert hill. I made it entirely down the hill and I probably would have been okay too if it weren’t for the sudden appearance of a creek just a few feet from the bottom. I saw it, realized I was going way too fast to stop in time, and decided to do the only thing I could think of: I fell. I did it on purpose, but that didn’t stop it from hurting. I hit the ground hard, got a face-full of hard-packed snow that felt like ice and scraped the left side of my face so badly it left a streak of bloody snow behind me. I came to a stop just inches from the drop off to the creek. Thankfully my dad saw it before I did and managed to turn in time. I remember getting up, feeling okay, and then looking at my dad’s face. He looked horrified. When I saw the trail of blood, I lost it. Needless to say I didn’t ski the rest of that day.

We found out that normally there’s a large arrow in front of the creek to let skiers know to turn, but someone had hit it and taken it out earlier that morning. We just happened to do that trail right before they replaced it.

    Fun times. :)

  • I was Utah County Dairy Princess and competing for the state title. We had to do a dance number. I did fine all day during practices. When it was time for the real thing, there was a microphone stand and cord in my way and tripped and fell off the stage. Everyone came up to me and told me they didn’t notice (except my biggest brother who caught it on tape).

when i was 15…was in a mini skirt when some teen boys drove by and started whistling…i though i was the stuff…ended up tripping on the door mat at the store entrance and crashed and burned…lol…of course being 15 it was bad enough until my mother decided the whole youth group at church should hear the story!!!

  • Oh man, when I was pregnant at the doctors office…. shame.

  • Meg

Learning how to wakeboard…well that was a few good falls water hurts when you smack into

A couple of years ago, I went for a run with my chocolate lab/mastiff mix. He was generally a very calm dog.
To this day, I have no idea what he saw. But suddenly he took off, taking me with him, dislocating my shoulder, and causing me to break both bones in my arm when I landed on the sidewalk. It was painful, to say the least.

  • Jamie

I have never fallen or tripped.

  • Kara

I trip on a daily basis. Recently I tripped on my way into a world market store and landed face first in the doorway where sliding glass doors kept hitting me in the ankles.

  • Well I was at the park with my family and a guy that I really liked and we were playing simon says. I had to run to the swings and back and I tripped and fell. It wouldn’t be to bad, but that boy was there!

When I was playing field hockey in high school I was running full tilt down the field after the ball, tripped on something, and was seriously airborne for a few moments. And then I crashed down. ouch.

  • Paola

I tripped bad when I was coming down a hike in Yosemite. I assumed (we all know what happens when you ‘assume’) that the rest of the way down was dirt and no more jagged stone. I started to run down and on the next switch back there they were, jagged stones. I was running too fast and couldn’t stop so down I went eating dirt and scraping my knees and shin.

  • Michelle

    Ignored the wet floor sign at a local fast food joint… ;A;

  • Shannon Naugle

Tripped on some stairs at my college’s cafeteria…spilling my entire lunch all over the stairs and myself. :(

  • Tracy

I must get my friend Paul one of these wallets. He is anti-leather and is always wearing out cloth wallets. Also, he is far too stylish for duct tape!

Also, I tend not to trip, but I fall off my bicycle often. Once I decide not to brake while taking a hard left at the bottom of a hill where the road turned from dirt to pavement… Ouch! And another time while biking on a sidewalk drunk in fancy high heels. Not recommended.

  • Clarissa

I was once to enter the subway in Boston. It was raining outside and while I was running down the stairs, the train was there. I passed the gate and run in the train just to fall on my belly. Whoever was there agreed it was a terrific fall. Luckily, I didn’t hurt me but for a bruise on my knee and dirt on my pants, but I was so embarrassed for my fall :o )

    Congrats, Peg!
