Randy Berry

The other day we received an email from a collegiate pal of ours who recently moved to the Baltimore area. While getting the lay of her new land, she went to a street festival in Little Italy where she discovered this glorious vintage jewelry artist, Randy Berry. She emailed us so that we could let all of YOU know about these lovely, repurposed creations. Randy, the designer behind this collection, gathers broken, seemingly unusable chains, pins, earrings and buttons and repurposes them into unique fashionable pieces. Scouring local thrift stores and flea markets, she shops with a selective eye, planning how she will change and manipulate these often discarded treasures into “one of a kind” affordable jewelry.

ENVIABLE PERK: All Randy Berry creations are made from vintage materials.

Reclaim the past with these gorgeous baubles!

GIVEAWAY ALERT: Randy Berry is giving away a ring of your choice! To enter, comment on this post and tell us where in the past you would be transported if given a time machine. Ash thinks that the Victorian era, a time where she could sit in hoops skirts and needlepoint all day long, would be delightful, but just for a visit. Kimmy would love to hang out in the roaring 1920′s, attending Gatsby-esque parties, drinking at a speakeasy, wearing fringe, etc.

31 BITES TO Randy Berry

  • Crystal

    Very pretty jewelry :)
I would love to go back to the 70′s and then the 80′s and be a little older. That way i could see all of my favorite bands play live even in their ‘early years!!

  • I’d like to go back to pioneer/Little House on the Prairie days when things were so much simpler.

  • Katie

Roaring twenties, baby. Bring on the jazz.

  • Carmilla

I would like to go back to the Heian period in Japan, as described in the japanese masterpiece, the Tale of Genji.

  • I would love to go see the 20′s in action. I would hide a few things to find in todays time…lol

  • Ruth

I would go back about 60,000 years and find out how the ancestors of Australia’s indigenous people got there. It is a complete mystery to the fields of Western science and history.

  • Kai

What a tough choice. A big part of me would like to go back to the late 60′s, but another part of me would like to go back much further. I think it would be interesting to see pretty much any other era!

Hmm, maybe go back to when plastics were just hitting the scene and try to talk some sense into the developers…?

  • I’m in love with Mad Men and all things mid-century right now. A man just looks handsome in a fedora!

  • sarah

I would go back just a few years ago. I would spend more time showing my grandmother just how much she meant to me and how much I loved her. I always thought that she knew. Come to find out, she often felt unimportant and I had no idea. I regret daily, not making her feel as important and she was to me and I wish I could travel back in time to fix that.

  • Kim

I’d probably go back to the 50′s, just for a kick.

  • ReganJ

i honestly would not want to revisit any other time…i think we are so privlaged as is…and every period…including our own… has had its troubles…i love the freedom that we have today to express ourselves…though many forget the need to respect others also…it is a freedom that is new to the world…we just need to learn at this point to respect that freedom and use it wisely and not as an excuse to do as we wish to others…wow…soap box…sorry!!!

  • Oh I don’t know! Two places maybe. I’d love to go Medieval and be a traveling bard and tell stories and meet heroes and Kings and Queens. But I’d also love to go back to the 1600s in America when the fur trade was happening. I got to take part in a rendezvous a few years back and it was incredible the amount of learning and sharing of knowledge that happened at camps between settlers, trappers, and the natives. Both times would be fun. :)

  • Kara

I would love to be transported to medieval Japan, with samurais and such!

  • Jamie

I’d love to check out the future…I know that may not have been in line with the question, but to compare what we have now (which is sooooo much) to what will be here (or not, I suppose) in 100 years is pretty incredible to think about. Look at what has happened in the last 100 years, and it seems almost impossible for that much to happen again in such a “short” timeframe. The FUTURE will be CWAZY!

  • Denise

I just watched Chocolat recently and I’d love to go to 1950s rural France! Great, warming food, and I love the feel of small rural towns full of tradition and culture.

  • mruna

I would like to go back to the Mughal rule era in India!

  • the sixties. my parent’s always said i was born in the wrong decade, i’m a flower-child at heart.

  • Anna L

Oh I could never really pick one time! I would love to spend some time having a great romp through the English countryside ala Jane Austen, so perhaps that would do for a day trip.

  • Karen

I’d go back to the 50′s when times were simpler.

  • Lauren

The 20′s seemed like a great time.

  • Meg

I would want to go back to the seventies so I could get my groove on

  • Roaring twenties! For sure.

  • I wouldn’t go back too far, as I know and appreciate the modern day blessings we have today. If I were to go back it would only be to have a second chance maybe 20 yrs ago with some decisions could have could have been made differently!

  • Helen

I would say 18th century England. I can wear pretty dresses and read Romantic poetry that would be considered current.

  • Becky

The 50s for sure. I love diners and jukeboxes and greasers, haha

  • Rowan

Whenever TV was parceled out to the masses (1950s?), I’d like to live BEFORE then! Seems like life got a lot more vapid when we all became attached to the tube. Give me radio serials, Big Band and classic film for entertainment!

  • Clarissa

I would love to visit the Jane Austen’s time, where women fell in love with a look or by just touching the loved one, and they spent most of the day embroidering and playing the piano :)

  • Samantha Palacio

I would love to visit the 1950′s … checkout an Elvis concert, visit a drive in, and still be fashionable in a long skirt.

  • Jean

i’d go back in time to ancient Egypt and see what Cleopatra was all about!

  • Sabrita

I would like to travel back to the 1940′s World War II era. It was such a pivotal time for our country, family and my parents. I would like to have a better understanding of what my family, the nation and the world experienced. I adore classic movies from the 1940′s. The films were an wonderful way to entertain and distract people from what a was a very difficult time.
    Thank you.
