Inspiration: Black Swan

If you haven’t seen Black Swan yet, we highly recommend it. Granted Ash’s husband came home and stated that he didn’t think he wanted his daughter to do ballet. The movie is indeed a bit dark but it still reminded Kimmy of how beautiful and tragic Swan Lake is, and how much she misses dancing ballet! Natalie Portman did a phenomenal job with her role as a prima ballerina and we were not surprised to see her win the Golden Globe for Best Actress.

If a dark movie isn’t for you, why not support the arts and attend the ballet itself? Most ballet companies rotate Swan Lake through their repertoire every few seasons – if you haven’t seen Swan Lake ever, go see it! If you haven’t ever been to the ballet – go!!!

Black Swan also gave me lots of inspiration , the only things I didn’t like about the movie were the overly sexual scenes that I had to fast forward , it was too much for me .. and not in good taste .
everything else was nice to watch such as the costumes and the way they danced

  • I haven’t seen it yet, but I really want to. I love Natalie Portman.

I’ve never done ballet (I was more of a clogger), but there’s something about ballet that always makes me want to draw. I love the curves and the lines. Just beautiful.

  • Could you please tell me who’s the photographer of the second photo? It’s absolutly stunning!
